Patrick Bateman, played by Christian Bale, is staring intensely at a colleague in an office setting. He is visibly becoming unhinged and aggressive as he demands an explanation, eventually calling the other man a stupid bastard.
This scene is used to react to someone saying something is impossible or when someone refuses to provide a reasonable explanation for something that clearly should be possible.
